Malaysian Film Day at Warwick

Just received an e-mail informing me about Malaysian Film Day (23 June 2007) which will be organised at the Warwick Arts Centre at the University of Warwick.

It is a collaborative project between the Warwick Arts Centre and the Malaysian Society in University of Warwick and aims to introduce Malaysian cinema to the international community in the university and also the people in West Midlands.

The films that will be screened are:

Mukhsin
Dir: Yasmin Ahmad
2007 94mins subtitled
4.00pm

Director Yasmin Ahmad’s award winning third feature is a coming of age story which deals with the complicated friendship of Orked and Mukhsin. At the recent 57th Berlin Film Festival, Mukhsin was awarded the Grand Prix by the Kinderfilmfest International Jury and a Generation K-Plus Crystal Bear Special Mention.

Dir: Bernard Chauly
2005 104mins subtitled
6.30pm

    sorry..just to ask you...how can i contact any Malaysian student studying in Uni. of Bradford because i'll be going for my study in uni. of bradford, in September, so will be happy if i can contact anyone of them regarding accomodation. UK Visa needs the details on the address & contact no. of teh rented house for visa application....how can I rent any house and get the details, with me still in Kuala Lumpur.....requirement is getting tougher nowadays...

  2. I am sorry. I don't know anybody there. Take a look at some of the webistes. The gum tree is a great place to look for cheap rentals.
